The lodge was originally a working farm until 2015, when native wildlife was reintroduced in to return the grounds to its former glory. Remanences of those that came before are scattered across the property, in the runes of farmhouses, ox wagons and even cave paintings; they serve as the blueprints of what we do today.
Jaggamongo is home to five endangered species and an abundance of plant- and birdlife: crucial to the conservation of such a delicate ecosystem.
